Technical Services

Geological & Mining Consultancy for Nigeria

From grassroots exploration through feasibility and into production — OMM delivers the technical work that turns a licence into a producing mine.

01

Exploration

Greenfield to advanced-stage exploration across Nigeria's mineral belts. We design and execute phased programmes that build a defensible geological model from the ground up.

  • Geophysical surveys — magnetic, electromagnetic, gravity, IP/resistivity
  • Remote sensing & GIS — Landsat, Sentinel-2, ASTER, structural interpretation
  • Geochemical sampling — soil, stream sediment, rock chip, termite mound
  • Trenching, pitting, and RC/DD drilling programme design and supervision
  • Target generation and ranking using geological, geochemical, and geophysical integration
02

Resource Assessment

Independent resource estimation that meets the standards your investors and lenders will recognise.

  • Geological modelling in Leapfrog, Datamine, or Micromine
  • Mineral Resource estimation under JORC (2012) or NI 43-101
  • Ore Reserve conversion with appropriate Modifying Factors
  • Competent Person's Report (CPR) drafting and sign-off
  • Due diligence reviews for project acquisition or financing
03

Mine Planning & Design

Translating a resource into a mine plan that maximizes recoverable value while staying within the licence's regulatory envelope.

  • Pit and underground stope optimisation
  • Production scheduling and stockpile management
  • Equipment selection and fleet sizing
  • Haul road, dump, and infrastructure layout
  • Mine closure and rehabilitation cost estimation
04

Environmental & Social

ESIA work that satisfies Nigerian regulators (FMEnv, NESREA) and the international lenders' standards (IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines).

  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Statement
  • Social Impact Assessment and Resettlement Action Plans
  • Biodiversity baseline studies and Critical Habitat assessments
  • Water management and tailings storage facility (TSF) design review
  • Mine closure and rehabilitation cost estimation (Nigerian regulations + international benchmarks)
05

Regulatory & Permitting

Nigerian mining regulation is a maze. We've walked it. We know which applications go to MCO, which to FMEnv, which to the Office of the Surveyor General, and how to sequence them so nothing stalls.

  • Exploration Licence (EL) applications, renewals, and transfers
  • Small-Scale Mining Licence (SSML) conversion support
  • SCUML registration and AML/CFT compliance
  • Mining Lease applications and Cadastre coordination
  • Ministry of Solid Minerals Development liaison
06

Data & Analytics

The differentiator between good and great exploration work is how you handle the data. We've invested in the tools and the workflows that turn raw field data into decision-ready intelligence.

  • Geodatabase design and management (acQuire, Leapfrog, Maxwell Geo)
  • 3D geological and grade modelling
  • Machine-learning prospectivity mapping
  • Real-time drilling and assay QA/QC dashboards
  • Custom data pipelines for site-to-board reporting

How We Work

1

Scope & Scoping

We start with a 30-minute call to understand what you need, then issue a fixed-fee proposal with clear deliverables, timeline, and assumptions. No retainer, no open-ended hourly billing.

2

Mobilise

We deploy the right team for the work — a senior geologist leads every engagement, supported by specialists as needed. We use your data, your systems, or ours; the brief sets that out.

3

Deliver

We work to a defined schedule with weekly progress reports. Draft deliverables for your review before final. A senior reviewer signs off every report before it leaves our office.

4

Support

After delivery, we stay available for follow-up questions, regulator clarifications, or integration with your team. No "engagement closed, good luck" handoffs.
